The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is searching for an estate sale burglar who strikes just before the sales begin.
"A few houses were left unlocked, while other houses had forced entry through windows in the back or basement," the sheriff's office said. The Douglas County break-ins occurred in Highlands Ranch and Roxborough. Similar burglaries have been reported in other parts of the Denver area, including Lakewood, officials said.
