NABBED! AFTER FIVE-DAY SEARCH IN WILDERNESS

Authorities captured a violent fugitive Sunday after a five-day search in the wilderness near Alamosa in southern Colorado, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Paul Sandoval, 62, who fled into the mountains in March 2021, was captured on Blanca Peak.
He was wanted by the Alamosa County Sheriff's Office for a violent offense against a child.

In August, Sandoval was observed in the area - by specially places "observation devices" - breaking into a house and an auto, officials said. He was "confirmed" to be armed with a rifle, they said.
