The National Weather Service issued the first freeze warning of the year for Saturday night - from the city to the prairie.
Frost is likely in the Denver and Boulder area with a low near 32F. Temperatures are forecast to drop as low at 26F on the eastern plains to the Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming state lines,
"Cover your outdoor plants or move indoors if possible," the weather service advises on social media. "Good time to drain above ground outdoor sprinklers too."
