BLACK SMOKE BILLOWS FROM ARAPAHOE COUNTY HOUSE FIRE

South Metro fire crews battled a basement fire at a home on South Dayton Street in unincorporated Arapahoe County. A 911 caller reported black smoke billowing from the dwelling. The fire's cause is under investigation though officials did say if you detect strange odors, unusual heat, leakage or odd noises in an electronic a device or its battery, stop using it and call 911.
