Police seized 77 hens and roosters trained for cockfighting Thursday from a home in the 5900-block of East 69th Avenue in Commerce City. The animals were to be shipped to Mexico. police said. In Denver, a person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Thursday involving a scooter and an auto in the vicinity of South Colorado Boulevard and East Florida Avenue, police said. In Greeley, a man, aged 82, died from injuries sustained in a four vehicle-crash that included a transit bus, police said. The accident occurred in the 4400-block of 10th Street on Tuesday. The man died Wednesday.

In Grand Junction, a man assaulted and injured two police officers Wednesday at a Walmart store. In Douglas County, sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect Monday in a series of shootings that targeted vehicles parked at auto dealerships.
