1 SHOT DEAD, 1 WOUNDED, 3 ARRESTED IN THORNTON

A person died, another was injured and three others arrested after a shooting and police chase in Thornton early Wednesday.

The violence began near the 9600-block of Huron Street, police said. The chase ended near 56th Avenue and Federal Boulevard. "Both injured individuals sustained gunshot wounds," police said. "One was located at the original scene and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second was located inside the suspect vehicle and has died." Officers didn't fire their weapons.
