A man fired several shots into an auto in Brighton early Sunday - missing the occupants. Then, he fled.
The shooting occurred at about 1:30 a.m. in the 100-block of North 4th Avenue. Officers were in the neighborhood and heard the gunfire.
"The occupants reported returning to a party in the area, and as they arrived, a Hispanic male began shooting at them," police said. "The shooter was unknown to the occupants, and they did not sustain any injuries.
"Due to the number of shots that were heard, officers conducted a safety sweep of the house and property and ensured there were no gunshot victims," police said.
