MURDER NEAR 88TH & GRANT IN THORNTON

A man was killed Wednesday night in Thornton and police are investigating the death as a murder.

The crime occurred before 11 p.m. near East 88th Avenue and Grant Street. Police said: "Officers quickly responded after a caller reported that someone was bleeding. Upon arrival, they located an adult male on the ground with an apparent wound. Officers immediately began rendering aid until medical personnel arrived." The man. aged 29, was pronounced dead at hospital and "detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and following leads to develop suspect information," police said.
