Mahali, a hippo residing at the Denver Zoo, will be moving to a natural wildlife preserve in Texas in mid-May, officials said. The zoo delayed his transit to the Lone Star State because it's taken time for him to get used to his mobile home - a jumbo transportation crate. He's almost - as the old saying goes - "Big as Texas." "Moving an animal as large as Mahali takes time, and his wellbeing was the top priority every step of the way," zoo officials said.
