BLACKHAWK CHOPPER DOWN IN GILPIN COUNTY

The Gilpin County Sheriff's Office Tuesday reported a "military helicopter incident on the east side of Thorodin Mountain involving a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter with four individuals on board." "No injuries have been reported," officials said. "There is no reported fuel leak or fire associated with the incident. ... There is no known threat to the surrounding community." TV images showed the disabled chopper standing upright in a wooded area. 9News reported the helicopter crew is based at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. 
A Facebook user posted: "They flew so low in front of my house the pilot and I waved at each other! We heard the engine shut off!"
