UPDATE
A jury Monday convicted George Vigil of manslaughter in the stabbing death of his uncle during an argument and scuffle over hot sauce.
Vigil, 20, faces 2 to 6 years in state prison, according to the Denver DA's office. His sentencing is set for Aug. 22. The jury in the four-day trial deliberated for five hours.
The fatal attack over the bottled condiment occurred Sept. 22, 1994, at a home on North Federal Boulevard near West 23rd Avenue.
A police probable cause statement said Vigil was known to carry a switchblade.
DA John Walsh called the crime "senseless."
