UPDATE A motorcycle passenger died Sunday in a crash in Denver - and the operator was arrested for investigation of motor vehicle theft. Police identified the suspect as Mario Flores Ruiz-Esparza, 25. He suffered serious injuries in the crash at Federal Boulevard and West Virginia Avenue.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details were released.
In a separate incident, a motorcycle rider was injured in a hit-and-run accident Sunday at East 14th Avenue and North Colorado Boulevard in Denver, police said.
