COCA-COLA PLAN LOSES FIZZ

A Coca-Cola bottler is scrapping plans to build a replacement
for its aged bottling plant on Denver's York Street - and intends to start from scratch.

In a statement Wednesday, bottler Swire Coca-Cola said: "Unforeseen delays and ongoing timeline instability have severely impacted the viability and delivery of the project. As such, we will no longer pursue the originally proposed location for the development of a new production plant.

"We will select a different location where we can establish a more reliable timeline for building the new facility."

Original plans called for the replacement to be located near Denver International Airport. York Street is "
the oldest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the country and has reached the end of its planned operational life," Swire said.
