The votes are in! The Denver Zoo's baby pancake tortoise has a name. It's "Maple."
She's the first of her species to hatch at the Denver Zoo and joins her mom, Waffles, along with three male pancake tortoises. They're named short-Stack, Denny, and Flapjack.
The Denver Zoo teamed up with TV's TODAY Show to find the perfect pancake-themed name - and more than 3,400 people cast votes, with Maple the top pick.
The species is native to Tanzania, Kenya and northern Zambia. They are called pancakes because of their flat shell.
