LAKEWOOD SHOOTOUT KILLS 1, INJURES 2

A gun battle erupted at a family party in Lakewood early Wednesday, killing a man and injuring a man and a woman.
"Multiple shooters were involved in this incident" at the Winddrift Apartments at 1490 South Reed St., Lakewood police said. The dead man was sprawled in the parking lot and officers found "gunshot damage both inside and outside of the apartment," police said. Earlier in the evening, officers had responded the same apartment on reports of a disturbance.
