UPDATE
The National Weather Service forecasts a hot, dry a Wednesday across the region with a Denver high of 97 degrees.
Fort Collins and Greeley may hit 99 - and forecasters see the heat persisting into Friday. There's a slight chance of late day showers and thunderstorms Thursday and a slightly higher chance on Friday. "The mountains will be warm all 3 days with the chance of showers and thunderstorms increasing each day," the weather service said on social media.
