Northglenn police are attributing the death of a veteran police officer to severe PTSD - post-traumatic stress disorder.
Detective Paul Gesi, a 39-year member of the Northglenn force, succumbed last week. Officials said: "His death, a suicide, reflects the silent struggles many first responders face and is a stark reminder of the mental health challenges within law enforcement. "As a dedicated homicide detective, Paul spent decades fighting to bring justice to countless families.
