Busy 911 operators received two calls reporting two very serious auto crashes, each with two very damaged vehicles - occurring about a minute apart.
There were very serious injuries, too, in both of Thursday's wrecks in Commerce City, according to the South Adams County Fire Department.
At 9:26 p.m., a caller reported a collision at Highway 85 and 56th Avenue. At 9:27 p.m., 911 received word of a crash at 74th and Dahlia Street. Victims were trapped in both and they had to be pried free. [Photos: South Adams County Fire Department]
