FLIP-FLOP MAN BREAKS IN, VANDALIZES SAFEWAY OFFICE BUILDING

A man wearing flip-flops and carrying a green bottle forced his way into the Safeway corporate building Saturday and spent about an hour vandalizing it, officials said. "The suspect set off the water and intentionally flooded parts of the building, causing damage" and "fled just as deputies arrived," the Arapahoe County sheriff's office said. The incident began at about 9:3o a.m. at 6900 South Yosemite Street in Centennial, officials said. South Metro firefighters found no evidence of fire inside the building.
