NATIONAL NEWS: PAMPERED PUPS FLY FIRST CLASS

No more traveling in the dark belly of a jetliner locked in a metal crate. Jet-setting dogs fly first class on BARK AIR - a charter airline catering to four-legged passengers, with one-way tickets starting at $6,000 for a pooch and companion.

"We will do our best to ensure each pup passenger is comfortable with amenities like calming aids, music, and treats," BARK AIR says on its website.

"During ascent and descent, dogs will be served their beverage of choice to prevent ear discomfort commonly caused by change in cabin pressure," BARK AIR says. "Our flight experience also includes a variety of snacks, and special surprises."

BARK AIR's fleet of corporate jets serve New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Honolulu as well as foreign destinations Berlin, London, Madrid, Milan and Paris.

Are Denver or Aspen next?
