UPDATE
Aurora police officers on a special patrol of a high-crime neighborhood pursued a stolen auto Wednesday and arrested two suspects on a variety of charges. The passenger, Mackson Beti, 26, surrendered. The driver, Abel Paneo-Castro, 28, bailed out of the Toyota RAV4 but was tackled after a brief foot chase, police said.
"Paneo-Castro is no stranger to APD he has a long history including numerous vehicle thefts, felony eluding, drug possession, concealed weapons and theft related crimes," police said. "In fact, he had an active warrant for criminal trespass and obstruction. "Beti was found with a felony quantity of narcotics, several stolen credit cards, and a handgun with an extended magazine," police said.
