CHARLIE KIRK MEMORIAL TORCHED IN LOVELAND

A memorial to slain political pundit Charlie Kirk has been torched - and preliminary evidence indicates it's "politically motivated," police in Loveland said Monday.

Police Chief Tim Doran said: "What is particularly troubling about this incident is the chilling effect this arsonist is attempting to impact on free speech and expression."
The fiery attack occurred just before midnight on
Saturday in the 200-block of East 23rd Street, officials said.

"
The display included a sign reading, 'RIP Charlie Kirk, we stand with you,' surrounded by American flags and solar lights," officials said on social media. "The suspect(s) ignited the memorial, then threw a large rock through the rear window of the resident’s vehicle, causing extensive damage."

Police said they are interviewing neighbors and "
and pursuing credible leads."
If you have information, call Loveland police at (970) 667-2151 or Larimer County Crime Stoppers at (970) 221-6868.
