"Don't steal a vehicle, then call the fire department for help jump-starting it," Commerce City police say. "When firefighters saw the ignition was punched and the driver was attempting to conceal a screwdriver, they called us." The suspect now faces auto theft charges. The vehicle was reported stolen from Golden. "First Responders are usually happy to help a stranded motorist ... but not a stranded car thief," police said. "We'll give you a ride though - to jail."
