UPDATE
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said he's ready to challenge the second White House plan to move U.S. Space Command from Colorado to Alabama - reversing a Biden era-decision to stand pat.
"The Trump administration should not play political games with our nation's military readiness," the attorney general said Tuesday.
The first Trump administration tried to make a move to Huntsville, Alabama, but the plan was quashed. Space Command currently maintains a temporary headquarters in Colorado Springs.
Governor Jared Polis said: "Uprooting Space Command will weaken national security and readiness, waste taxpayer dollars, and inconvenience military families."
Lieutenant Governor Dianne Primavera said Colorado's "unparalleled aerospace and defense ecosystem has been vital to Space Command achieving full operational capability and executing the mission. This decision is deeply disappointing."
