A felon on the run for eight years is locked in the Arapahoe County jail after his capture in Mexico, the sheriff's office said Monday.
David Anthony Jaramillo, 38, skipped out on his sentencing on June 13, 2017. He had been convicted of sex crimes and was apprehended in Leon, in the State of Guanajuato, on Aug. 23, 2025.
"His capture was the result of three months of investigative teamwork led by the FBI agent who reopened the case, with support from an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Task Force Officer," the sheriff's office said.
Investigators believe he traveled to Mexico three years ago.
