Jason Groshart - who eluded police for two decades - was sentenced Wednesday to 32 years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and attempted sexual assault, the Denver DA's Office said.
Groshart, 52, armed with a gun and handcuffs, "broke into the victim’s home in Denver dressed in all black, including a black mask and black gloves" on March 30, 2004, the DA's Office said. "The case went cold until 2022, when the Denver Police Department reopened the investigation using investigative genetic genealogy," the DA's Office said. [Photo: Denver Police Department]
