WAYWARD BULLET STRIKES SCHOOL

Bradley Fox, 42, was arrested on suspicion of illegally discharging a firearm after a bullet struck the exterior of Ranch View Middle School, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. "A staff member and a student had reported hearing a loud pop and observing a puff of smoke coming from the bedroom window of a home," officials said. "While deputies were on scene, the resident of the home voluntarily approached them at the school and self-reported the incident," officials said. "The resident believed the firearm was unloaded while handling it inside the home." The incident occurred Wednesday.
