ColoWyo Coal Company LP notified the state Monday it will cut 133 jobs as it closes its Meeker mine in western Colorado by year end. The site will shift to reclamation. Plans were first announced in August. The mine opened in 1978. There are fewer than a dozen active coal mines in Colorado.
