A police officer shot the driver of a stolen truck Tuesday in an exchange of bullets following a chase from El Paso County to Pueblo West on I-25, the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office said.
The truck stalled in a field near Purcell Boulevard and Fairbanks Drive after leaving the interstate. The suspect fired at least one shot during the chase and opened fire again in the field.
The suspect was flown to hospital. No one else was hurt.
