An accidental fire damaged 13 vehicles being held as evidence by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, officials said Friday.
"The affected vehicles were being held as evidence in criminal cases. Those cases are in various stages from early prosecution through appeal," officials said.
The Nov. 4 fire ignited in the electrical system of one of the vehicles, investigators determined. No injuries were reported.
