HIKER TRAPPED ON LEDGE AFTER STATE PARK PLUNGE

In a daring operation, firefighters and rescue climbers saved hiker who plunged onto a ledge at
Eldorado Canyon State Park.
Members of Mountain View Fire Rescue and Rocky Mountain Rescue "worked their way" by rope to reach and extract their patient from the ledge, which is 40 feet above ground level, officials said. Park rangers also responded to the site near West Ridge Access Trail. The hiker was traveling the Washington Irving Route on Sunday.
