After battling a major blaze caused by a space heater, West Metro Fire Rescue posted safety guidance on social media, such as turn off the unit when you go to bed.
Early Saturday's inferno displaced 30 people at a Lakewood apartment building.
The space heater in question was unattended on a wooden deck, fire officials said. Flames traveled into the attic and out the roof. Two apartments were gutted. Others suffered smoke and water damage.
