VOTERS SAY 'YES' TO KEY DENVER BALLOT ISSUES

A $950 million package of infrastructure bonds backed by Denver Mayor Mike Johnston appeared headed for approval by voters in the Mile High City on Tuesday, according to unofficial election results, Colorado Newsline reports.

The five measures comprising the “Vibrant Denver” bond package received support from large majorities of Denver voters as of midnight election results released by city elections officials, which tabulated more than 139,000 votes.

A measure to retain the Denver City Council’s 2024 ban on the sale of flavored tobacco products also held a commanding lead, with 72% voting to keep the ban in place.
