Using drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras, searchers located two hikers lost in darkness and descending the summit of Mount Garfield - and guided them to safety, Mesa County Search & Rescue said.
The hikers were reported lost at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, officials said. Neither was injured. Searchers provided water.
The mountain overlooks the town of Palisade near Grand Junction.
