UPDATE
A corporate jet crashed on landing at Telluride Regional Airport on Tuesday and its crew and passengers escaped without injury, the San Miguel County Sheriff's Office said.
The mishap occurred at 12:15 p.m.
"One of the pilots told deputies that just after the plane's wheels touched down that a strong, gusting-crosswind hit the planes profile shoving it off the runway," officials said. "The plane skidded approximately 300 yards coming to rest off the runway on its collapsed landing gear," officials said. "There was no fire or smoke." There were five people aboard the Cessna Citation X series, including two pilots. Tellurride Fire responded along with deputies and airport personnel.
FAA data show the aircraft is owned by Mach .92 Leasing LLC of Raleigh, North Carolina.
