Fergus, a therapy dog at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, is celebrating his ninth birthday.
The caring K9 has "made a meaningful impact across our agency and community, attending mental health conferences, supporting children during interviews at DCSO, and providing comfort to employees," the sheriff's office said.
