Scarlet, a hero therapy dog who comforted students, faculty and staff after the Evergreen High School shooting, is home after going missing for 18 days, No Animal Left Behind Search & Rescue said.
A $2,000 reward may have prompted the return of the loveable Great Pyrenees who vanished from home during a windstorm.
"She has lost about 10 pounds and is exhausted, but she is otherwise doing well and is expected to fully recover," rescue officials said on social media. Scarlet typically tips the scales at 115 pounds.
The rescue officials also said: "While we do not know every detail surrounding her time away, what matters most is that Scarlet has been safely reunited with her family."
