Bullets pierced at least two homes in Johnstown's Thompson River Ranch, police said Friday. No one was hurt.
The shootings early Wednesday - one of which propelled a bullet into a child's bedroom - occurred in the vicinity of Southeast Frontage Road and River Ranch Parkway.
Preliminary findings indicate the bullets may have been fired from I-25 or the frontage road, which are to the west.
Police also appealed to the public for help, saying:
"Investigators are asking everyone in the Thompson River Ranch area to check the exterior of their homes for potential evidence of being struck by a bullet. Investigators are requesting residents with surveillance cameras review their footage for any audio or video recordings captured between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on January 7 that may help investigators identify those involved."
