UPDATE
Firefighters battled a pair of major overnight blazes in Colorado Springs, the fire department said early Friday.
A raging two-alarm fire destroyed a home at 915 Darby Street (photo above). The occupant escaped. There were no injuries. No pets were lost. Firefighters also responded to an apartment building fire at 2220 East Bijou Street (photo below). No injuries were reported. Meantime, during daylight hours Thursday, fire broke out at the Creekside Apartments at 3431 West Colorado Avenue. Officials reported no injuries. [Photos: Colorado Springs Fire Department]
