GOOD SAMARITANS PULL DRIVER FROM SOUTH PLATTE - BUT HE DIES
UPDATE
Good Samaritans freed the driver of a Honda CRV that careened into the South Platte River and flipped over Sunday evening at East 58th Avenue and York Street near Commerce City. The driver, age 22, was transported to hospital but he died. The wreck occurred at East 58th Avenue and York Street. The state patrol said: "While on East 58th Ave., the Honda crossed the westbound lanes and went off the left side of the road. The Honda struck a wooden post guardrail and continued forward, going airborne off a large embankment. The front of the Honda struck the ground east of the intersection before coming to rest on its roof in the river."
