VALENTINE'S DAY MURDER IN DENVER

UPDATE

A person was shot dead on Valentine's Day in west Denver, police said.

Another person wounded in the leg and transported to hospital from the crime scene in the 1500-block of West Maple Avenue, police said. No other details were released. In another incident, a teenage girl was arrested as a suspect in double-stabbing Sunday in the 1500-block of North Grant Street in Denver and faces charges of second-degree assault, police said. Denver police also reported a stabbing Sunday in the vicinity on East Cedar Avenue and South Broadway Street. A suspect was arrested. The victim is expected to survive.
