A child arrested in the killing of his little brother in Centennial has been formally charged with murder in the first degree, prosecutors said.
The suspect is 11. The victim was 5. The death occurred at a home on South Jerico Way.
Prosecutors requested a "sentence enhancer," seeking severe punishment. A child below age 12 cannot be tried as an adult in Colorado.
The murder occurred last week.
