ELK WIRED UP IN 200 YARDS OF FENCE FREED

A Colorado Parks and Wildlife officer tranquilized and freed an elk whose antlers were entangled and dragging 200 yards of quarter-inch electrical fencing west of Loveland. Neighbors provided help and the mature bull was released without injury. "One of the neighbors inadvertently, parked on the electric fencing being dragged by the elk, stopping him from running away," officials said.
