FIREFIGHTERS BATTLE BLAZE UNDER GROUND

South Metro firefighters battled a blaze inside a drainage ditch along West Belleview Avenue near South Prince Street.

Wooden pallets and a mattress were burning about 225 feet inside the ditch. No injuries were reported. The cause of Sunday's fire was under investigation. Littleton police also responded to the fire. [Photo: South Metro Fire]
