Edgar Perez, an escaped inmate from the Weld County Jail, was captured Thursday, the sheriff's office said. Perez, 25, walked away from an outdoor work assignment early Wednesday while under supervision of jail personnel. He was serving a sentence for impaired driving and had been held in the county facility for eight days. On Wednesday night, Perez was sighted near Weld County Road 23 and Tinsman Avenue in Severance.
