A woman carrying no identification was struck by lightning Thursday beneath a tree in Superior - and revived with CPR, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
The woman is between 20 and 30 years in age, stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 120 pounds with red or auburn-colored hair. She was wearing a green running shirt and black striped running shorts.
"Her cell phone was severely damaged and inoperable," officials said. "Multiple efforts to identify her, including fingerprinting and review of missing persons reports in Boulder County, have not been successful."
Officials provided this account:
"Bystanders reported hearing a loud boom and then located the female lying beneath a tree that had been struck by lightning. She was unresponsive, and bystanders immediately began administering CPR.
"At the time of this release, the female has regained a regular heart rate and is breathing independently; however, she remains in critical condition."
