RIDING HIGH: DRIVER SLAMS INTO LIGHT POLE, PARKED CARS, SMOKE SHOP

A man at the wheel of a pickup truck carved a path of destruction in Grand Junction - without killing anyone.

Eugene Graham, 36, was taken to hospital and then jailed. He faces charges of DUI, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Reckless Driving and Hit and Run Failed to Remain at Scene of Accident Damage Vehicle.

His careening vehicle
"struck a light pole at the Maverick gas station before colliding with several vehicles in the parking lot of Cruisers Bar in Orchard Mesa" and then "crashed into the nearby Smoker Friendly located at 2692 Highway 50," police said. No one else was injured. [Photos: Grand Junction Police]
