COPS CLOSE I-70 FOR DUCK, DUCKLINGS

A Colorado state trooper and Clear County sheriff's deputy closed busy I-70 westbound near Downieville on Thursday to help a wayward duck and her ducklings cross to safety from the express lane.

Travelers called to report the family's plight - and all are well.

"I-70 is a great way for cars to cross the state, but not so great for ducks to cross the street," the sheriff's office said.
