A gunman died Sunday at a home on Weasel Way in Franktown after a confrontation with a deputy, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said. "A child inside the home called 911 to report an adult male was assaulting their grandmother, with another child also inside the residence," the sheriff's office said."When deputies arrived, one child was exiting the front door," the sheriff's office said. "While the door was open, a deputy observed the adult suspect inside holding a handgun pointed at the deputy, and one deputy fired shots. "The children and grandmother were safely removed from the home," the sheriff's office said. "The suspect was later found deceased inside the residence."
