A Denver Rock Island Railroad locomotive struck a pickup truck at a crossing near 64th Avenue and Downing Street, Adams County Fire said.
There is no railroad crossing gate at the location.
No one was injured in Friday evening's accident. The Chevrolet Silverado pickup was driven by a man, age 32, from Denver, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Denver Rock Island is a small freight railroad serving the Denver area. [Photo: Colorado State Patrol]
